Judith Curran

Executive Producer / Show Runner NHNZ

Tove Petterson is without question one of the most highly skilled underwater professionals I have ever worked with. Tove's talents are really quite exceptional. She is the one person I would trust implicitly to achieve 100% the goals a production sets; whether its filming some incredibly rare behaviour of a marine animal, to capturing a dangerous stunt with a shark, to persuading characters in a reality style documentary to allow her to film an intimate moment, to editing the sequence in less than 24 hours to meet the deadline. She is also one of the most joyful colleagues I've ever worked with.

Jean-Michel Cousteau

Ocean Futures Society, Santa Barbara California 2003

As I planned for the creation of a new Cousteau team, I wanted individuals who had mulitple capabilitites to work in and on the ocean, someone who loved the ocean and understood ocean-related issues. As I formed my team, Tove Petterson was one of the first to come to mind as an integral part. Tove's skills, professionalism and experience in documentary filmmaking, both above and below water, are exceptional. Tove will always be considered part of our team though she is returning to her home country.

David Cothran

Naturalist at Lindblad Expeditions / National Geographic Certified Photo Instructor

I've known Tove for over 20 years. In 2000 she trained me as a polar diver and UW camera operator in Arctic Norway and Svalbard and helped me to establish the Undersea Specialist program for Lindblad Expeditions, which is still going strong 21 years later. Since then we've dived together on the wrecks in Scapa Flow, in the Antarctic (including Elephant Island, where Shackleton's men were marooned) and many other places in between. The skills Tove taught me are a rock solid base that has kept me safe and confident through many years of diving in extreme environments. We had a lot of fun together too! I recommend her coaching very highly.
